The Executive Office for Weed and Seed designated Homestead/Florida City an Officially Recognized Weed and Seed site in October 1999.  The Weed and Seed Strategy relies heavily on the participation of our residents, law enforcement agencies, government officials, human service providers and businesses.

Our goal is to revitalize, both socially and economically, the neighborhood.
